Inside Wireman Apprentice Total Package:

Period 1 – 0-1000 hours On the Job Training (OJT)

Total Package = $30.53/hr       On Check: $19.00/hr   Pension: $0/hr*    Annuity: $0/hr*    H&W: $10.10/hr

Period 2 – 1000 hours OJT + Satisfactory Progress

Total Package = $32.49/hr       On Check: $20.90/hr     Pension: $0/hr*    Annuity: $0/hr*     H&W: $10.10/hr

Period 3 – 2000 hours OJT + 180 hours Related Instruction

Total Package = $45.45  On Check: $22.80/hr    Pension: $7.75/hr  Annuity: $3.26/hr  H&W: $10.10/hr

Period 4 – 3500 hours OJT + 360 hours Related Instruction

Total Package = $47.41/hr  On Check: $24.70/hr   Pension: $7.75/hr  Annuity: $3.26/hr H&W: $10.10/hr 

Period 5 – 5000 hours OJT + 540 hours Related Instruction

Total Package = $51.33/hr   On Check: $28.50/hr    Pension: $7.75/hr  Annuity: $3.26/hr  H&W: $10.10/hr

Period 6 – 6500 hours OJT + Satisfactory Progress

Total Package = $55.24/hr   On Check: $32.30/hr   Pension: $7.75/hr  Annuity: $3.26/hr  H&W: $10.10/hr

Completion of program = 8,000 hours OJT + 720 Related Instruction 

Journeyman Inside Wireman

Total Package = $61.11/hr       On Check: $38.00/hr   Pension: $7.75/hr    Annuity: $3.26/hr    H&W: $10.10/hr

* 1st & 2nd Period Apprentices are ineligible for Pension & Annuity until Period 3

         There is a $25 non-refundable fee to complete the application above that must be paid online with a credit or debit card. Within 30 days of submitting application, you will need to provide the following:

·         Official high school transcript showing that you graduated and completed Algebra I with a “C” or better

·         Copy of your High School Diploma or Official GED. Official Ohio GED transcripts are available on line here

·         Copy of your Birth Certificate

Incomplete documentation and applications will be closed after 30 days, and you will need to start over, so have all of your documentation ready before paying the $25. 

All documents submitted during the application process become property of the Mansfield JATC and will not be returned to the applicant.

Aptitude Test

Once Application has been completed and all required documents have been uploaded, you will then be scheduled via email for our Aptitude Test. The Aptitude test is two (2) parts, Algebra Functions & Reading Comprehension.

Upon successful completion of the Aptitude test, you will then be scheduled for an interview. 

The Interview

The Interview will consist of you interviewing with up to 6 Training Committee members going around the  room asking preformatted questions, you will be given adequate time to answer each question. After the Interview, you will then be given a score based on your interview. This score is then uploaded to a ranking list that will rank you based on that score. Applicants are then offered acceptance into the program based on the  order of the ranking list. You will be on the ranking list for two (2) years from date the of your Interview. After two (2) years, you must reapply and go through the process all over again to be considered for the apprenticeship again.

 

ALL INSIDE WIREMAN CLASSES WILL BE AT THE JATC TRAINING CENTER IN MANSFIELD @ 67 S. WALNUT ST, MANSFIELD, OHIO 44902

ALL INSTALLER TECHNICIAN CLASSES WILL BE AT THE ETC @ 947 GOODALE BLVD, COLUMBUS, OHIO 43213

BOTH PROGRAMS WOULD CONSIST OF IN THE CLASSROOM TRAINING AT THEIR RESPECTIVE LOCATIONS,

WITH ALL OF THE ON-THE-JOB TRAINING TO BE PERFORMED WITHIN THE JURISDICTIONAL REGION OF IBEW LOCAL 688.
